iPad Pro 11 inch on version 15.3.1

When using messages, the latest message I receive from someone is hidden by the text entry box. I can swipe to scroll up to see the message, but when I release my finger, it scrolls back down.

I can get it to display properly if i click on a different conversation on the list on the left and then click back to the original conversation. It then displays properly.

It wasn’t bad at first, now it’s just getting annoying. Any work around or fix?

Hi there TommyWojo,

You can expect to see new messages appear just above the text entry field. If you're reviewing an earlier part of the conversation when a new messages comes in, it should automatically scroll to the most recent.

If this isn't occurring in your case, try forcing the app to close using the following steps:

On iPhone X and laterFrom the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

On iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and earlier, and iPod touchDouble-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

Additional information is available, here: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

This will allow a fresh instance of the app to launch the next time you tap the icon.

Cheers!

This appears to be an intermittent bug with iPadOS. I have seen similar issues on occasion.

Try updating your iPad to the most recent version of iPadOS - as of yesterday, this being iPadOS 15.4. Whilst I cannot yet promise that this specific problem has been fully resolved, I’ve not noted any occurrences in the 18 hours since updating to the new version.
