MacBook Pro 14 is hot when plugged in and lid is closed.

My MacBook is hot whenever the lid is closed and the charging cable is plugged in, even after it has reached 100% charge. It stays hot for days, whilst closed and plugged in. It only cools down when I unplug the cable.

This doesn't seem normal, anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Battery condition reads as normal and maximum capacity is 100%.

Thanks
