Apple Emails not sent on iPhone or iPad. No access to SMTP server - goes straight to Apple ID

YouTube videos do not cover how to re-set server for Apple email.

Instructions for Gmail are clear but not able to edit/add/change user name or password info

Apple does not give server settings access

Option to type in user name etc are grey, so not doable. Please help

I can’t seem to edit the SMTP outgoing mail server details which don’t have a password (it’s all greyed out for some weird reason and I cannot turn it off). I’ve deleted and reinstalled my gmail account. No dice. I’ve tried adding a server but it tells me my details are incorrect - even though it signed me in when I reinstalled the account so the email and password must be correct- I’m losing faith in apple. Any suggestions welcome.

email accounts I have a Mac book air, I can't send emails I can receive emails but unable to send them, all passwords ect are all the same on my iPhone which sends and receives both its getting annoying now

Email issue MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Max I’ve got my 2021 MacBook Pro all set up. I use apple mail app, I’ve got 6 Yahoo! Mail accounts that I use. I’m able to see my inbox, outbox, drafts, junk, and sent mailboxes, I am able to send and receive email across all 5 of my devices iPhone 5, iPhone 7, iPhone 12 mini, mid 2012 MacBook non retina, except on my new 2021 MacBook Pro one of those 6 email accounts won’t connect incoming IMAP or outgoing SMTP. I’ve got the red dot and I’ve run connection doctor several times on that one account it will not connect, it says can’t connect to server check your settings, I don’t see any way possible to input the settings i cant find them on my 2021 Mbn do I need to delete that account in system preferences / accounts and then add it again. i’ve tried that and it says this email already exist. I’ve tried rebooting that doesn’t help either. do I need to delete that email account on every device and then add it to one of them and it should show a crossed all of my devices???
