Hard Restart of my apple watch, it still will not start.

I have tried on a numer of different occassions to start my Apple watch. I have followed most of th e steps outlined but evewn after trying a "Hard Restart" the screen goes blank. Is it the watch or. m aybe the battery? It is a series 3 watch with just GPS. I estimate I've had the watch for maybe 3 years.
