Lost my remote for Apple TV and have new WiFi

I was trying to use my remote from phone but being that I have new WiFi in addition to not knowing the safe spot I put my remote. I can not connect my phone remote to my Apple TV. Anyone have a solution?

If you lost the remote for your Apple TV - Apple Support

- You can buy a replacement remote from Apple, or other resellers. Replacement remotes need to be paired, to get recognized.

- The old style Apple Remote (aluminum) (IR) will also work with your Apple TV HD. (Except for accessing Control Center, as that requires the TV/Home button.)

- Select third party IR remotes may also work. Some are made specifically for use with Apple TV.
