Keynote shared with me via iCloud won't open directly in keynote unless i download - but I want it to remain shared doc

Hi -

I'm logged into icloud and can see the keynote shared with me for collaboration, however I can;t open directly in Keynote.

I have the latest version and it's open.

I've tried restarting; logging out of icloud/keynote and back in etc.

I tried an 'extensions' solution i found on a google search which worked for a while but no longer.

I'm accessing via Chrome.

Any ideas?
