iPhone 10XR

I always flag important pieces of mail with different colors as of late whenever I do that and go back into the phone all the flags have changed to read not the blue or the yellow or the green that I choose. Is there any way to fix this I’ve been doing this fee years without a problem and now suddenly piece of mail I flag changes to red. Thanks Carol
