HomePod mini

I looked throughly for this information and couldn't find out what the power requirement, other than the 20 watt "in the box charger" is for HomePod mini. To use these speakers, do they charge and unplug not requiring a constant outlet connection for use? Or, must they be plugged into the charger at all times and be next to a 120volt outlet to use?

Thank you.

HomePods must be connected to a power outlet. There is no charging involved. Set up and use HomePod mini and HomePod – Apple Support (AU)
