After connecting iPhone to USB port it shows up in left sidebar along with my playlist, etc. However, cannot find an option or see anyway to sync, transfer or move any music from the playlists onto the phone?

Don't recall the sync options, but literally all you need to do to transfer over a piece of audio is to drag it to the icon of your iPhone.
