iPhone 8 + answers auto although auto answer switched off and also switches to speaker automatically.
Tried everything recommended but no use.

I have tried everything that is suggested check settings in
Accessibility-touch- call routing set to automatic and Auto-Answer calls to Off.
I have never enabled Auto-Answer calls.
I have IOS 15.3.1
My phone rings for 3-4 seconds then auto answers and switches to speaker.

Do you recall when you first experienced this issue, and any changes that were made to your device around that time? Also, do you have any other devices that calls can be answered through? For example an Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, etc.

I do recall this happening previously with my Apple Watch, where it switched almost immediately to my watch speaker.
I also use Apple Watch and MacBook Pro 12.2.1 although not for phonically.

I disconnected my iPhone but did not change. The main issue seems to be calls answering automatic and when this happens there is no red button to reject the call.

I have now found that my watch was on auto answer, It must have changed with last update 8.4.2. Will have to check on updates.
