Email Problem Using Monterey

After updating to Monterey 12.2 my email is really funky. It will mark them as read or even delete them. I could be working in another program go back and check emails and there will be 5 new ones all marked read. How do you fix this?

Are you using the same account on another device (or webmail)?

If it is an IMAP account if read on another device they will be marked read on your Mac If deleted on another device they will be deleted on your Mac.
