iOS upgrading

Is it possible to upgrade my iPad 2 from 9.3 to a newer version?

This 2011 iPad 2 is obsolete in Apple's terms and it cannot be upgraded beyond 9.3.5 although I think the 2012 iPad 2 had an extra update to take it it 9.3.6

That iPad is nearly 11 years old and has been long unsupported for many years, now.
