Why is my iPhone mini saying there is insufficient space for backup when I only have 1.2 gb of 5 gb used?

I have an iPhone 13 mini and I am currently unable to backup my iphone 13 mini even though I am only using 1.2 gb of 5gb available. What is the problem?

Presumably the size of the backup is too big.

Look at Settings, General, iPhone Storage, How much are you trying to backup?

The problem is there is more data in the phone that needs to be backed up than will fit into the remaining iCloud space.
