my iPhone 12 has the restore error and I cannot get it to reboot

I bought a new MacBook Pro and it offered to update my iPhone with a new version....But now my iPhone 12 is showing the "support.apple.com/iphone/restore" error. When I do the reboot process it just returns to that screen.
