Certain keys don't work on MacBook Air (2017) Monterrey 12.1

Some keys don't work on my keyboard (tilde, equal, F12 volume up, left and right brackets, up arrow and right arrow). What I've tried so far: updating operating system, checking system preferences for accessibility, resetting the PRAM).

I just inherited this computer, so I'm not sure how long they haven't been working.

Thank you for any help--not being able to use the F12 volume up key is especially annoying.

Connect an external keyboard to see if those keys work. If an external keyboard works, then it indicates the built-in Keyboard is bad and needs to be replaced.
