screenshot freezing

Just recently, after taking a screenshot and adding it to my photos - that preview screen freezes and wont go away like it used to. It won't let me click the X or cancel or anything - it just makes a ding sound and is stuck there....anyone else experiencing this and know how to fix it?

iMac 24″, macOS 12.1

Screenshot doesn't quit I can't get the screenshot window to close. Does anyone else have that issue?

I can’t take screenshots every time i try to press volume up and power it wont press volume just goes up
