iPad mini 2 update

how do I update iPad mini 2 to the latest iOS? I’m on iOS 12.5 and it says current.

An iPad Mini 2 isn't capable of 13 or above. If it says that a version older than 12.5.5 is up to date, remove the beta profile and restart the unit.
