macOS Monterey 12.2 update broke ethernet connection

After installing the update I can no longer get connected thru my wired ethernet adapter on my 2017 MacBook, only WIFI. It was working fine while downloading the update, but has not been able to connect after restarting with the update installed. Any ideas to help get it working again?

I was finally able to get it to connect by disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter/hub from the USB-C port on the MacBook
