Connecting Mac to an iMac as a second screen
Hi,
I'm trying to connect my Mac to my iMac and I want to know before I go buy the thunderbolt cable if they are compatible.

The requirements for Target Display Mode using a cabled connection can be found,

Target Display Mode will not work for iMac's outside of those listed models in the requirements.
