Shared Calendar but contacts have shared too?

Please can someone help - I've shared my calendar with my husband and that's working fine but somehow all my contacts have shared across into his contact list too which isn't ideal

Any ideas how/why this has happened and how I can get my contacts off his phone?

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Probably you both are using the same email account which hosts your Contacts.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
