I upgraded my iMac to macOS Monterey Version 12.1 this week and now some of the messages I view on the Mail app do not display their content. I can sometimes see content by clicking reply but this work around does not work every time.

Protect Mail Activity was already deselected. I tried also deselected Hide IP Address as shown in your screen shot and restarted. I still am having the same issue that I can't see content of some emails.

Similar problem. I subscribe to several newsletters. About 1 in 30 to 1 in 100 will show "This message has no content." They will open in Mail on my iPad and in the webmail interface. I've tried your privacy settings. I can view|message|raw source and see that it is present.

Back to my issue. I deselected "Protect Mail Activity" and restarted. I'm still having the issue with some emails not showing content. My work around of opening email and replying is still working.
Verify that the Protect Mail Activity (on the Mail Preferences Privacy tab) is not set.

If checked, try unchecking Hide IP Address. Also, verify in Network System Preferences that Limit IP Address Tracking is unchecked.

Some content is embedded (attached to the email) while other content is referenced via a URL (internet link).

Yes I do have Protect Mail Activity selected. I selected this when I installed the MontereyOS. I'm puzzled why only some messages are affected by having this selection.
I haven't noticed the message "this message has no content". The problem is happening both with emails from mail lists and non mail list email.
