How to set iPad to automatically back up

On my iPad how can I get it to automatically back up each day

Assuming that you have sufficient available space in your iCloud storage:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > iCloud Backup >

  • iCloud Backup - set to ON
  • Back Up Now


After the initial manual backup to iCloud, your iPad will automatically backup to iCloud when the iPad is connected to its Power Adapter, is connected to WiFi - and is locked (for example, when charging overnight). The automatic backup will occur if more than 24hrs have elapsed since the last backup cycle.
