How do I restore a Photos library from

a Time Machine backup

Best to use the time machine app.


Go into time machine, navigate to the date you want to restore from and find the photos library you want to restore. Right click the library and choose "restore to" then choose a folder to put it in. You don't want to just let it restore to the original location or it can overwrite your current library.
