transfer Files from a dead Mac to a new mac
My MacBook Air died and ordered a new one, how do I transfer my files from the dead MacBook Air to my new one?

You use restore from your backup disk. If a computer is "dead" you can't retrieve data from it unless it is an older Mac with a removable drive and the drive is not the item that is "dead".
