MacOS problem

My Mac tried to update to Monterey but for some reason crashed and has left me with no operating system.

forsome reason space bar on power on does not start in safe mode ( I have a wireless keyboard) but I can start with option-command-R or shift-option-command-R but even when going through that for 60+ minutes, I still get a crash part way through installation, asking me to restart - even when trying to reinstall high sierra

To Startup up in Safe Mode on Intel based computer is SHIFT key Immediately at restart. If using a Bluetooth keyboard - this will a hit or miss to function. Better results from a Wired Keyboard even Windows KB and use Alt key
