Screen unresponsive to touch
screen will not respond to touch at all what do i do i want to salvage it.

Remove any protective film and any protective case, and attempt to force a restart: Force restart iPad - Apple Support
If that fails, use the Get Support button in the upper right of this webpage, and discuss your options with Apple.
