there are no users on this volume to recover

I own a Mac mini M1 and need to enable System Extensions.

Can't boot in Recovery Mode as I always get the following message:

"there are no users on this volume to recover"

My user has admin privileges and was created during the fist boot process.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hello Paulopinto,

Thank you for those details.

Let's attempt to create a temporary user account using this article: Change Users & Groups User preferences on Mac

Once you create a new user account, attempt to boot into recovery.

Let us know the results.

Good Luck!

Hello Paulopinto,

It sounds like you are unable to boot into macOS Recovery, We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

Were you attempting to boot into macOS Recovery by following these steps: Use macOS Recovery on a Mac with Apple silicon

Specifically the section titled "Start up your computer in macOS Recovery."

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which macOS version are you currently using? How many user accounts do you have on your Mac? Also, have you ever been able to boot into macOS Recovery previously?

Cheers!
