Using office for home and student on iPad

I bought and installed Office for home and student and installed it on my MacBook Air back in 2020. I now have an iPad (2021 version) but can’t seem to use Office. I don’t have a subscription as I bought Office as a one off payment. Please advise.

iPad, iPadOS 15

You cannot. The standalone version of Office Home and Student for Mac is only for Mac, and cannot be used on an iPad.

The Office 365 subscription version is the one you can use across different devices.

You can download the free Office apps from the iPad's App Store, but without the subscription you will only be able to view documents, but not create, edit or save.
