CarPlay not recognizing iPhone 12 max

2021 Jeep Wrangler.

CarPlay not recognizing iPhone 12 max.


says file reading error and goes to “iPod” in the media area of the radio.


yes I’ve reset the car audio and restarted phone.

CarPlay in general is active.


all of the “try this/reset that options have been exhausted.

If CarPlay doesn't activate automatically, look for the CarPlay logo on your car's display. Restart your iPhone and your car. Make sure that Siri is on. ... Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
