Mac System restore

I am in the process to trade in my old computer. I was removing the device from Find my and after that, the computer gave this message: A folder with a flashing question mark means that your startup disk is no longer available or doesn't contain a working Mac operating system.

What I should now? I can I send it this way or I have to restore the Mac system?
