How do I transfer downloaded movies from Mac to my Iphone with through cable?

I tried to sync my downloaded movies from my Macbook (Monterey 12.0.1) to my iphone (ios 15.2). But when I plug in my iphone to my mac, the movie list is still empty after dragging the folders. Clicked sync, clicked apply, still nothing. How can I do that?
