Only giving me 1 week trial instead of 3 months new iPhone

I just bought a new iPhone. When I try to sign up for Apple+ It only gives me 1 week free trial, instead of 3 months.

The 3 months trial is for qualifying users. See the conditions.

Be sure to redeem on the new eligible device, not on a different device.
