You need a USB-A male to USB-C female adapter. Amazon sells them along with other vendors.

Is it by chance a wireless mouse? If new and Apple brand, it will be wireless.
It is but it needs to be connected via charging cable to charge. No compatible port!
The solution DB mentions is the most straightforward permanent solution. As a temporary fix you could also use an iPhone cube (or just about any mobile phone USB charger).
A good point Mal-S. Original Apple cords like that can be acquired at OWC for about $7. I just bought 2 from them about 3 weeks ago to replace old, frayed phone cords.
