Apple watch trade in, bought new watch at store

Hello Everyone, today I went to the Apple store at the mall and bought a new Apple watch. I asked the person about the trade-in and she said I will have to send it in. But on my recipe, it don't say anything about a trade-in or anything to ship it back. Will I still get a mailable back box or did she mess it up ?.
