Problem with charging MacBook Pro

My Mac won’t charge and it is out of battery. What can I do to try to fix it myself?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hi,

If your MacBook Pro has intel processor, resetting SMC could solve the issue.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, try to check your MacBook Pro with Apple Diagnostics if it reports battery or charger related error.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro M1 would not charge when powered off and the lid was closed with macOS 12.0.1. It would charge when powered up and the lid open. Updating to macOS 12.1 resolved the powered-off, lid-closed charging issue.
