Does apple have hardware upgrade options for M series MacBookAir?

I bought a MacAir air 2 months ago, with 8gigs RAM and 500gig SSD. I now wish I had gotten 16gigs and 1T SSD. Does Apple have any upgrade options, or is the only option to buy another unit?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

The only path is to trade in or sell your current and buy a new one.

FWIW, it has been that way for all Apple laptops for a few years now.
