What power adapter is compatible with the Apple Watch 7? I ordered the USB 5W power adapter as it indicated it was compatible, but the USB port is too large for the apple charger to fit.

Return the one you ordered within 14 days and purchase either the 20W USB-C charger or look for an Anker Nano 20W USB-C charger (smaller and less expensive). Don't buy an adapter, it will preclude you from using fast charging.
if the cable have an usb-c rather than an usb-a connector you need to get a connector with usb-c port
or get a converter
