MacBook Pro (Big Sur) won't sync to my iPod Nano 7th Gen. Is the iPod obsolete?
Thanks everyone for suggestions. I successfully transferred some playlists from my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) Big Sur 11.6.2 to my iPod Nano 7th Gen (software rev 1.0.4 PC). It is working fine. There is a several second delay after pressing "Synch" for which I believe I did not account in my initial request for help. I have always used iPods for listening to music while traveling on airplanes and can still use the ancient Nano 7th Gen with an external battery pack to maintain power. I prefer not store music on my iPhone X. So, I'm back in business. Thanks again for your assistance!

Away for a few days and the iPod is home. Will advise OS rev. It is up to date. And yes, the Mac recognizes the iPod. I wonder if Big Sur is now too far a leap for the Nano 7th gen?
Hi poor yorick,
Let us know when you can try again. Your iPod should work in Big Sur to sync with Finder no problem.
