I have an Apple Music Family Subscription but it will not let me play music on my MacBook Air

Why can't I access my Apple Music Family Subscription on one of my devices, specifically my MacBook Air?

Apple Music Subscription My family has an apple music subscription (Family plan). I recently got a MacBook Air and every time I try to play music it says join apple music. I have tried multiple different steps but nothing is allowing my MacBook to connect to our current apple music plan. I have the sync thing turned on and purchase sharing and everything but regardless it still tells me I need to sign up. My apple ID is showing in the family plan as well and it's the same one I have connected to this MacBook.

Apple Music I've recently got a MacBook Air and I love it but I'm a bit confused because I have apple music subscription on my phone and I logged in on my Mac but it won't allow me to download anything. Do I need to upgrade to the family subscription so I can use it on both or should I be able to use my individual subscription on both?

Did you turn on Sync Library on all your devices (including your Mac)?
