POP accounts do not sync across devices

IMAP accounts do sync across all devices

The default for most mail servers is IMAP, including Gmail

Add an email account to Mail on your Mac

Hello Leroy Douglas

I went to the Mail App & then went to preferences, accounts and it shows that ICloud & Gmail are both set up on IMAP. Is that what you meant. It would be helpful, if someone could walk me through the steps. Most of this is foreign (computer language) to me.

Is your gmail account an IMAP account?

Did you add your gmail account to Mail on your Mac?
