I just got a new phone and my photos are not showing up. Everything was backed up but it didn’t transfer over. What do I do?

It is turned on. The only pictures I have are ones from 2019 and earlier. But my phone was last back up on November 20th 2021 so I would only be missing a couple weeks worth of photos. But instead I got nothing

You could upgrade your icloud storage and let the photos upload from your old phone.
Or transfer them through a mac/pc or another cloud service like google photo’s/onedrive/dropbox.
The photo’s should still be stored locally on your old phone. In case you reset the phone, they’ll still be in the back up. So you can restore the back up on your old phone and then follow the steps above.
Did you restore the back up on your new iphone or started fresh and wanted to access the photos off of icloud again?
In case of the latter; did you have enough icloud storage to store all of your photos? If not, it might have been that only part of your photos were in icloud and the other part stored locally on your phone.
ohhh I don’t think I had enough storage then on my old phone so it wouldn’t have saved them…
Go to settings and then photos. Make sure that iCloud Photo’s is turned on
