Photos is a part of the system and updated by updating the system, just like Mail or Contacts. As muguy wrote, for macOS 12 Monterey the current version of Photos is Photos 7.
Why are you asking? Are you getting a warning about the version of Photos, when you are trying to open a Photos Library? You can only share a Photos Library between Macs, that are running the same system version. If you open a library on a Mac with a newer system version, you can no longer open the library on a Mac with an older system version, unless you update the system on the Mac.
