You could uninstall all other browsers so that Safari is the default.

LD150 You maybe right, I will give it a try, thank you. My Quebec covid-19 will not accept my Chrome to update my vaccination record, they recommend that I use Safari!

It was a bit clunky as a solution but if you reinstall Chrome dont be tempted to say yes to making it the default browser .
