Keyboard text shortcuts repeat themselves

Whenever I use a text keyboard shortcut, such as 'eq' for equation, they will repeat themselves. In that example, 'equation uation' rather than just equation. Is there a reason why?

Calculator automatically clear every time I type a number on my numeric pad I`m using external non-apple keyboard. It is working fine in all the applications I`m using (including native Numbers/Notes and etc.) but not working in native Calculator application. Instead of adding the number it always automatically clears every time I type a number on my numeric pad. Is there a fix for this?

Keyboard shortcuts using number pad don't work without employing a modifier key I can create usable keyboard shortcuts like command+NUMPAD 7, but they don't work if I try to simply use NUMPAD 7. I can see the number appear in the keyboard shortcut field, but it doesn't work. Is this a limitation, conflict, or am I doing something wrong? I saw something about dragging a key to the command editor, but am not sure what command editor is being referred to, or how i would drag a key. This one works This one does not.

In Sys Prefs>Keyboard>Keyboard tab, try adjust this 2 items.
