Apple TV+ subscription content requires an Apple TV (3rd generation or later) with up-to-date software. All the ways to watch Apple TV+ - Apple Support

Apple TV+ subscription content is not compatible with Apple TV (2nd generation). You can play purchased movies on that model, though. Buy movies and TV shows from the Apple TV app - Apple Support
