No, that's not possible. However, if your phone is low on space, you can use Optimize iPhone Storage to keep only smaller, space-saving photos on the phone while the full-resolution versions remain in iCloud:
- Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos.
- Select Optimize iPhone Storage.
