I cannot not use my word processor because since the last update my Microsoft Word is Crashing Trying To Open Documents on my MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina

Have you tried to boot into safe mode to see if Word will open at that point? If not, give that a try now. This mode will complete some checks to see if there are any errors on your system. It will also stop your login items from loading.
How to use safe mode on your Mac
If Word opens at that point, try to boot up again normally and see if Word opens as expected.
If it doesn't, please reach out to Microsoft to see if they have any updates or troubleshooting steps that are specific to this issue.

I tried reinstalling my update for my computer from Apple, but I had trouble because the "server was not available."
The Apple helper was very nice and informative. She helped up date Microsoft office software.
Next, I tried your other suggestion about going to Microsoft and the helper at Microsoft found an update for my particular Microsoft word. That solve the problem about Word!
