Should I let my MacBook Pro 16" 2021 battery drain before charging?

Should I let my MacBook Pro 16" 2021 battery drain before charging? I tend to "top it off" when I'm not using it, or charge it while using it. Will my battery life be extended if I let it drain? Thanks.

Absolutely not.

The rule of thumb is if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on battery only.

In this way you extend the working life of the battery by reducing the cycle count.
