2018 mac mini running Monterey OS. LG UP850 4K monitor. Monitor will recognize USB-C connection but not HDMI connection.
Yes I tried turning off/on both, plugging/unplugging in recommeneded order. The HDMI connection is a better connection which is I want to connect that way.
Avoid direct USB C - USB C, instead use direct HDMI and dongled DP. For hub functionality, route the monitor’s USB C to the mini’s USB-A using an adapter or C-A cable. Should fix/improve. Good luck!
