why can't I make calls on my Apple Watch 5 without wifi? It is activated with my cellular provie
I cannot make a call on my Apple Watch 5 without wifi or my phone nearby. My watch is activated with my iphone carrier.

If you do not have the paired iPhone nearby, check to make sure that you are connected to cellular. Swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to see if the cellular icon is green. You can also go to the Watch app on the iPhone and check Cellular and make sure it is showing active there.
